The Bridge – at Catwalk Residency

Composer, Peter Hodgson, lyricist, Kathleen Wrinn, and I completed a highly productive residency in the beautiful Catskills, where we worked on our musical-in-progress, The Bridge. The piece is about the building of the Brooklyn Bridge, focusing on the role of Emily Roebling, wife of Chief Engineer, Washington Roebling. The piece explores the high price of “progress” as Emily navigates politics, marriage, and class in this timeless and timely story.

Thanks so much to the board of the Catwalk residency (who we were lucky enough to get to meet and perform for) and especially to Purcell Palmer for making this residency available.
